Parent Involvement

At St Patrick’s Primary, our parents are a vital part of the school community and are involved in many aspects of school life, including carnivals, excursions, library, and assisting in the learning spaces.

We have an active parent group which consists of smaller social and fundraising groups and is committed to supporting our school and the parish community. These groups work closely with the school and parish community to promote partnership between home, school and parish. Parent organised activities include student discos, Easter, Mothers’ Day and Christmas raffles, Mothers and Fathers’ Day stalls, new parents welcome afternoon, and the St Patrick’s Day barbeque.

Families are also welcome to be involved in the religious and community life of our school, and are invited to attend special Masses, liturgies and celebrations, such as Opening School Mass, Catholic Schools Week, Mothers’ Day and Grandparents’ Day liturgies, St Patrick’s Day and many other events throughout the school year.

Volunteer Training

We welcome the contribution volunteers make to the life of our school.

As we are committed to keeping students safe, all volunteers in schools are required to complete the building child safe communities undertaking form and child protection training module before volunteering. These checks reduce potential risk and forms part of our strategy to build child safe communities.
