How to enrol

We look forward to welcoming you to St Patrick’s

The Enrolment Policy for Parramatta Diocesan Catholic schools offers families greater choice by allowing them to apply for enrolment at a Catholic school anywhere in the Diocese.

Where places are limited, enrolment priority will be given to:

  • Catholic children who live in the local parish and surrounding parishes; and
  • Children of families who actively participate in the life of the school and local parish community.

Catholic schools have a strong religious dimension and people of other faiths who wish to enrol in Catholic schools should be willing to participate in the religious activities of the school.

While applications for all grades are taken at any time of the year, the main enrolment period for Kindergarten is between March and May in the year before the child will attend school.

New Kindergarten students will have orientation mornings in Term 4 the year before starting school to help them transition into school. Parents will also be invited to attend an orientation session in Term 4 for more information about the school and a chance to meet other parents.

Choosing the right school for your child is an important decision.

Why not arrange a school tour to view our facilities? Just contact our school by email or call (02) 8869 6000 weekdays between 8:30am and 3:30pm.

Enrolment Procedures

Step 2:
Enrolment Application
Complete and submit the following forms
Enrolment packages containing the enrolment instructions, checklist and forms are also available to collect from our school office.

The completed enrolment application, together with all requested supporting documentation, must be submitted in person to our school office. Step 3:
Enrolment Interview
All students seeking enrolment at St Patrick’s Catholic Primary are required to attend an interview. Once the enrolment application has been submitted, our Enrolment Officer will contact you to schedule an interview. The enrolling student and at least one parent/carer are required to attend the interview.

Step 4:
Enrolment Acceptance
We will advise the outcome of your application in writing shortly after the interview.

If you receive a Letter of Offer, you are required to return the Enrolment Acceptance Form and pay the $100 non-refundable Enrolment Acceptance by the requested date, to secure your position. This deposit contributes towards your first term school-based fees.

Parents of students with additional needs are encouraged to begin the enrolment process in advance of the normal enrolment period to allow for assessment of the support and adjustments required. Initial contact should be made with the Principal.

Parents are asked to provide copies of assessments or reports concerning learning needs.

It may be suggested that further assessments be undertaken by the school leadership team, or by staff from the Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta.

The enrolment process involves consultation and clarification of student needs. Available support and resources are investigated with parents, school personnel and Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta.
